Thila (Thiamethoxam 12.6% + Lambda Cyhalothrin 9.5% ZC) is a broad-spectrum insecticide with dual mode of action. It works as systemic, contact and stomach activity insecticide which works on both sucking pest and caterpillars.
Thila interferes with postsynaptic nicotinic acetyl choline receptors (nAChR agonists) site of the insect nervous system. Due to irreversible blockage of postsynaptic nicotinic acetylcholine receptors leads to the hyperexcitation of the nerves. Simultaneously it affects the nervous system of an organism by disrupting the gating mechanism of sodium channels involved in the generation of nerve impulses. Delayed closing of gate, results in prolonged excitation of nerve fibers in insects. Hyperexcitation followed by convulsions and eventual paralysis of the insects. This results in the death of insects.
