LC-5 (Lambda Cyhalothrin 5% EC) is a new generation photostable pyrethroid insecticide for the control of a broad spectrum of both chewing and sucking insect pests. It has contact and systemic action which is effective for the control of pests like bollworms, jassids, Thrips on cotton. It affects the nervous system of an organism by disrupting the gating mechanism of sodium channels involved in the generation of nerve impulses. Delayed closing of the gate results in prolonged excitation of nerve fibers in insect pests.

It is absorbed rapidly by the roots and foliage & gives a quick knockdown and long residual control. It also promotes crop greening, more branches and flower initiation.
